Fotomac report Fenerbahce are looking to sign a striker in the next window to solve their ongoing problems in attack, and Leicester City’s Islam Slimani has emerged as an option for the Turkish giants.
Despite the Yellow Canaries signing Vincent Janssen from Tottenham Hotspur on loan, as well as Roberto Soldado from Villarreal in the summer, the goals have dried up for the Turkish side, and Slimani could be the player to solve these problems.
Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman is currently under pressure to get results after a poor start to the season, and the Leicester City forward could help in that regard.
Slimani is largely out of the picture at Leicester City, and with the summer arrivals at the Premier League side the Algerian international may need to find a club which can give him regular games.
The Dutchman made a decent start with Fenerbahce, but the Tottenham player hasn’t scored in his last five games. His move to Fenerbahce was meant to kickstart his career after his woes at Tottenham last season, but tit’s not going perfectly.
Fenerbahce therefore want to address this and Slimani could be a realistic target. The Leicester City outcast’s style of play would be suited to the Turkish league, and with him seemingly surplus to requirements with the Foxes he may be granted a move in January.
Slimani, though, could prefer to stay in the Premier League and have a fairer shot at success away from Leicester.
