Bild have taken on the Bayern Munich director of football role and decided to find a striker the German club can sign in January.
Robert Lewandowski has suggested he needs some help upfront, and it’s clear Bayern may have problems if they intend to rely on the Polish international as their only out and out striker.
Bayern have debated publicly whether they really need someone, but with the pendulum currently swinging towards YES, Bild have set off on a shopping trip… and it very much involves Arsenal.
With a handful of options, Bild present two Arsenal forwards: Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck.
Conveniently, neither have played in the Champions League, and Bild state: ‘It is quite possible that coach Arsène Wenger would let one leave.’
Such a move would go down like a tonne of bricks with the Arsenal faithful, especially in the case of Lacazette. It’s unthinkable, well, actually it’s not… someone at Bild has already been thinking about it.
