TMW have taken time out from banging the Walter Mazzarri to Everton drum to publish another ‘Esclusiva’ about the club’s search for a new manager, which, somehow, doesn’t mention any of their previous claims about the 56 year old.
Mazzarri has been repeatedly linked with the Goodison Park job by the Italian media over the past few weeks, with it feeling like someone close to the manager is perhaps encouraging things.
Taking on the former Watford boss wouldn’t exactly be exciting for Everton’s fans, with Carlo Ancelotti much the preferred Italian option.
Well, TMW reckon they’ve got news on that front, both good and bad. The good is that Everton and Ancelotti have already made contact, and the bad news is the former Chelsea manager ‘preferred to decline’.
Maybe they can publish a new ‘Esclusiva’ later on Monday, saying something like: Mazzarri ready to consider Everton, as Ancelotti backs away.
It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.
