Ousaim Bouy isn’t exactly having an action packed start to life at Cultural Leonesa.
So far, the Leeds United loanee has picked up 90 Copa del Rey minutes, and he won’t be getting more of them given they’re out.
In addition to that there’s been 43 minutes in Spain’s second division. The Leeds United owned player clearly isn’t a major part of the club’s plans and recently has been out of the matchday squad more often than not.
Tuesday’s edition of Marca has an article looking ahead to Cultural’s match this evening with Sporting Gijon, and there’s not one mention of the player.
It’s an odd situation, Leeds United haven’t bought a youngster who wouldn’t be expecting minutes anyway. Bouy is 24 years of age, he needs to be playing football, and if he can’t even make the bench in Spain’s second division then it’s clear the move isn’t working out for him so far.
Unless things change dramatically, a return to Elland Road looks reasonable when the winter window opens. That’s not so he can play a part in Thomas Christiansen’s plans, but more so he can find another situation for his future.
Otherwise there’s every chance Bouy could end the season as a 25 year old who hasn’t really been playing football for a season, and that can’t be much good for Leeds United.
