Everything is happening very quickly for Jordan Amavi following his loan with a view to buy move from Aston Villa to Marseille.
Deciding to ignore January speculation in favour of repaying the Villains’ trust in him, the left-back stayed at Villa Park until the summer of 2017.
However, with Steve Bruce’s side failing to return to the Premier League, Amavi decided it might be time to move on from England, and, after a move to Sevilla collapsed, the defender returned to the south of France, this time to Marseille.
Since then, the 23-year-old has profited from Patrice Evra’s advancing years to become Rudi Garcia’s favoured option on the left of the defence, and now he’s in the France squad, according to Mohamed Bouhafsi.
🔴 Layvin Kurzawa forfait, Jordan Amavi appelé en bleus ! @RMCsport

Originally not called up by Didier Deschamps, Amavi has, on Wednesday, been brought in following the news that Layvin Kurzawa will not be fit to take part in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender’s forfeit, adding to Benjamin Mendy’s misfortune, meant the France manager was only left with Lucas Digne, leading him to turn to the Aston Villa loanee.
With Patrice Evra now firmly out of the picture, this is Amavi’s chance to show what he can do, and maybe impress enough to be considered in future squads ahead of the World Cup next summer.
It’s a long shot, but these opportunities don’t come every day.
