Both playing and scoring in Manchester United’s 4-0 rout over Crystal Palace at the weekend, it appears Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku might have made life very difficult for Roberto Martinez this international break.
Already missing Tuesday’s training session, DH state the Old Trafford pair weren’t present on Wednesday morning, with both players now big doubts for Belgium’s World Cup qualifier against Bosnia.
Lukaku was already on the list of those half expected to miss the game with his ankle injury, there was still hope Marouane Fellaini would be back in time, but there is now a worry the former Everton star will also have to sit the tie out.
While Belgium are already qualified for the World Cup in Russia, having drawn just one of their games and won the rest, Roberto Martinez’s men are aiming to win their remaining two games and enter the record books with 28 points from a possible 30.
Having the Manchester United pair available for the tougher of the two games would certainly have gone a long way towards achieving that goal, but it now seems like Michy Batshuayi will be the one leading the line on Saturday.
