“They treat me like a dog”.

That’s how Brice Dja Djédjé feels about Watford’s decision to, for the second year running, leave him out of their Premier League squad, speaking to L’Equipe in France on Thursday.

If you’ve followed Sport Witness recently, you’ll know that this isn’t the first interview the Ivory Coast international has given about his situation at Vicarage Road, having done so last week to Sportmania in his home country.

Once again explaining the lack of reasoning behind the decision, the defender reveals he already thought something was up during preseason, when he was constantly put with the ‘others’ in training sessions, meaning the subs.

Confronting Marco Silva about it, asking him to ‘not treat him like a child’, the Portuguese manager told him no decision had been taken, but it seems that wasn’t the whole truth.

Describing himself as ‘unhappy’, what Dja Djédjé finds the hardest is to train all week, and then end up watching the game from his couch at the weekend.

Money isn’t important, and he just wants to do the job he’s capable of doing, but Watford appear to be standing in his way.

Once again refuting allegations that he wasn’t giving it his all, the right-back wants to leave, whether it is on loan or for good.

The problem is, as he said in his previous interview, the Hornets allegedly stopped him from doing that too.

Why? He has no idea.
