Hamburg chairman Heribert Bruchhagenhas has spoken‚ to Sky Deutschland about his club’s situation in the transfer market.
It’s been reported today in the German media Pierre-Michel Lasogga has travelled to England to hold talks with Leeds United, or as Kicker have it, ‘advance’ his move to the club.
Sport Bild have reported on comments Bruchhagenhas made when the Hamburg chief when asked about Hamburg’s transfer activity for the remainder of the window.
“Our squad is very big, and I don’t want to rule out anything. There are still four days to work. One or two transfers are still possible, we would like one or two players to leave. We are in talks at the moment.”
Sport Bild mention Sven Schipplock and Lasogga as the two candidates to leave Hamburg before the deadline. Lasogga has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks, and in the past 24 hours it seems like the Championship side have stepped up their pursuit of the player.
Earlier today we covered reports from Germany that Lassoga is in talks with Leeds United over move to Elland Road, and that he missed training with Hamburg today.
The Bundesliga side are keen to get the forward off their wage bill, and Leeds United are the only club showing concrete interest at this stage.
