According to claims in the German media, Huddersfield Town are on the verge of signing FC Ingolstadt defender Florent Hadergjonaj.
The Swiss international is looking to leave the German side this summer after the club’s relegation to Bundesliga.
Kicker report Huddersfield Town are expected to complete the signing of Hadergjonaj on a loan deal, with a right of redemption. The Premier League side’s manager David Wagner is keen to bring in the Swiss international before the window closes, and it seems the German coach will land the player.
The 23 year old is currently suspended by Ingolstadt after he told the club he wants to leave, and at this stage it seems the only solution is for Hadergjonaj to move on.
The right back is contracted to Ingolstadt until June 2020, and there’s no mention of how much the redemption clause is.
Huddersfield Town will be hoping to add to their squad before the deadline, to maintain their impressive start to the season. The West Yorkshire side have a 100% record after winning their opening two games, and currently lie 2nd in the table.
