Fanatik have today reported Galatasaray target Jason Denayer is unhappy and is on the verge of ‘rebellion’ following claims Manchester City don’t want him to join the Turkish giants.
The Belgian defender is still keen to rejoin Galatasaray, following a loan spell with the club during the 2015/16 season.
Galatasaray started the season in style when they beat Kayserispor 4-1 yesterday, but they still want to add to their squad before the window closes.
The Turkish club could use Denayer’s uncertain future with Manchester City to their advantage, as they look to bring in the Belgian international.
However, Manchester City remain adamant Denayer will not to be loaned to the Turkish club, a stance they also took last summer. Instead the Premier League side last season sent Denayer to Sunderland on loan, against the player’s wishes, and this summer they tried to send him to Spanish side Girona.
Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Galatasaray remain determined to sign the Manchester City player, and if a deal doesn’t happen this summer they’ll wait until the next window.
Denayer is contracted to the English side until June 2020, but looks surplus to requirements at the Etihad.
