Fotomac have reported Besiktas look set for a fight with Wolves to sign FC Porto forward Vincent Aboubakar. Despite Aboubakar’s desire to stay at Besiktas, the Black Eagles have been unable to agree a fee with Porto.

The Turkish newspaper have reported Aboubakar is a serious target for Wolves, following claims the Championship side were showing an interest.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo worked with Aboubakar at Porto for a couple of months, before allowing him to leave on loan, and it’s been reported he’d be keen for Wolves to sign the Cameroon international.

Fotomac say Nuno regretted his decision to allow Aboubakar to leave Porto, and subsequently he would be interested in a reunion with the player at Wolves.

The 26-year old is still wanted by Besiktas manager Senol Gunes after scoring 17 goals during his loan spell with the Turkish champions last season.

Newcastle United and Swansea City have also been linked, but none of the claims, including those about Wolves, seem particularly strong.
