Cast under the Ruben Neves shadow, understandably, there are various reports in the Portuguese media on Sunday that Willy Boly is also moving to Wolves.
Nowhere near first choice for the club, the 26 year old central defender will join Wolves on loan for the season. Portuguese newspaper Record report that whilst some details still need to be worked out on the loan, there’s general agreement and Boly moving to Wolves ‘will be a reality’.
This isn’t a move they present as one which could happen, it’s very much presented as one which will be happening.
The payments involved in the loan are for now unknown, but everything tends to come out in the Portuguese wash, so those should be shared soon. There’s also no indication whether Wolves will have a clause to buy Boly at the end of the initial loan.
Boly is right footed, an out and out central defender, and has dual French and Ivory Coast nationality. His Porto contract runs until June 30th 2021.
