Chievo Verona have again been linked with a move for Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci. Last week there were claims in the Italia media the club nicknamed the Flying Donkeys could look to move in on the 28-year-old this summer.

Calciomercato24 have today reported Chievo are evaluating Bellusci’s situation, with it believed the Leeds United owned defender wants to continue playing in Italy.

It seems Bellusci is surplus to requirements at Leeds United despite the recent chances in coaching staff, and it’s been claimed the Championship side will look to loan out the player to an Italian club for another season.

After Empoli’s relegation to Serie B, Bellusci’s proposed permanent move to the Tuscan club collapsed, but in recent weeks other Italian clubs have been showing an interest.

Along with Chievo, Bologna, SPAL and Benevento have all been linked with the Leeds United player, and another return to his home country is a real possibility this summer.
