Arsenal ‘want to get ahead of everyone’ for Olympiacos duo Charalampos Kostoulas and Christos Mouzakitis.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who also say that Juventus are keen on the youngsters and looking to make their move for them.
They explain that despite being only 17 years old, both have ‘adapted like a glove’ to the demands of their current coach José Luis Mendilibar, and established themselves as key players in the current the team.
Kostoulas, a striker, has three goals and one assist in 18 games to his name so far while Mouzakitis has played 16 games this season with one assist to his name.
Juventus are following them but Arsenal ‘would have the advantage’ for the pair at this moment in time according to Tutto Juve. They don’t say why that is the case, just that the Gunners are out in front.
Now, we should point out this hasn’t been backed up in Greece, where the only report on either player we could find was from Sport Time insisting that Mouzakitis was being watched by scouts from across Europe this week.
They added that the team showing the most interest in him was Eintracht Frankfurt, Arsenal were not to be seen.
They also pointed out that while Mouzakitis may be an incredible talent who can bring multiple financial benefits to the Greek club, they’re not even discussing a sale and want him as a starter for at least another three years. It’s safe to assume they feel the same way about Kostoulas.
Arsenal then, may have a battle on their hands to change that mindset, even if they are as ahead of Juventus and others as Tutto Juve say they are.
