Bournemouth are ‘formally negotiating’ for Lanús youngster Julio Soler with an idea for the left-back to move in the January transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Uriel Lugt, who says Lanús are ‘already aware of the offer’ and readying themselves for Bournemouth to move.

Soler has been linked with a move to the Premier League a handful of times over the last few months, with Liverpool named as suitors back in August.

A report at the end of November put Liverpool back in the picture for him alongside Manchester United, who were both said to have made ‘advances’ and forced River Plate to step up their own efforts for the 19-year-old.

Now it seems Bournemouth have stepped forward, with Lugt reporting that they are ‘formally negotiating’ to sign the youngster in the January transfer window.

He, though, states that Lanús are ‘already aware’ of the offer from the Cherries, which would suggest that negotiations are currently being held with the player’s entourage rather than his club at this moment in time.

Either way, it’s made clear that if Bournemouth move forward, the idea is that the full-back makes the move to the Premier League in January.

That’s a while off yet but it seems negotiations are fully underway, and Bournemouth are out in front at this moment in time.
