There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Beşiktaş are showing interest in Leeds United defender Junior Firpo ahead of the next transfer window.

The Super Lig side are looking to bring in a left sided defender in January and are reportedly targeting the Dominican Republic international.

Fotospor have reported on Beşiktaş’ pursuit for the Leeds United player as they look to solve their issues at left back. The Black Eagles have been linked with a number of left backs in recent weeks as they work to bolster their squad in the new year.

It’s claimed Beşiktaş vice president Hüseyin Yücel has Junior Firpo in his mind ahead of the next window and likes what he’s seen from the player.

With pressure mounting on current Beşiktaş left back Artur Masuaku due to poor performances, Yücel is keen to replace the DR Congo international during the winter transfer window.

Junior Firpo has made 16 appearances for Leeds United this season, scoring one goal, He’s contracted to the Championship side until June 2025, and losing him in January would be a blow for Daniel Farke’s side.
