Tottenham’s Pedro Porro is ready to move to a ‘giant’ club, and that may be Real Madrid in the near future.
That’s according to Sport, who say ‘now is the time’ for the defender to make the step up and continue the hype train around the full-back.
Porro has found himself in the spotlight in the Spanish media over the course of the last few weeks as injuries have struck at Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants need a new right-back and it’s been made clear that while Trent Alexander-Arnold is the first choice, largely because he may be available on a free transfer, the Tottenham man is also being analysed.
That’s led to plenty of coverage of him and Sport continue that today, saying Porro ‘put on his work overalls’ at Tottenham to become ‘one of most in-form full backs in the world’.
They believe Porro is on the cusp of a big move and are confident he will choose the right time to make it after perfectly timing his transfers in the past to aid his career development.
Now, at Tottenham, he has shown an ability to ‘take the right steps’ and ‘fight through every adversity’ to get to the position he is currently in. That’s something which has characterised his career and ‘now is the time’ for the next step.
At 25-years-old he has Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United keen and Sport believe he is ready to take the definitive step to a ‘giant’.
That, of course, is a little insulting to Tottenham and we’re sure they’ll have something to say, particularly when it comes to a price, they’ll ask in the current market.
The newspaper ignores this, of course, they’re just here to keen the hype train rolling along and ensure Porro remains firmly in that spotlight in the next few weeks.
