Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi has ended up on Tottenham Hotspur’s agenda for the winter market.
That’s according to Spazio Inter, who cover Tottenham’s interest in the 25-year-old when discussing the Serie A side’s plans for January.
The midfielder arrived at the San Siro from Sassuolo in the summer and has played 16 games this season, of which six were starts. His role at Inter hasn’t impacted his place for Italy, where he continues to be a starter.
There could be developments in his situation, likely because of Tottenham’s interest. The report claims Ange Postecoglou’s side would be ready to offer €35m for Frattesi.
It’s claimed Tottenham’s proposal puts Inter in a dilemma on whether to hold on to him or cash in from his sale.
The Nerazzurri consider Frattesi a ‘high-level prospect’ and an important asset, despite his limited game time this season. Inter officials ‘could push’ the Italian towards the exit door to ‘seriously evaluate an offer of this magnitude’.
Frattesi’s contract lasts until 2028 and he’s highly appreciated by Simone Inzaghi. He could oppose the sale, but Inter’s final decision would depend on their economic conditions.
