On November 21st, Trivela stated West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Southampton are all chasing Corinthians’ Yuri Alberto ahead of the winter market. It was also said his agent is working to try and fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.

The striker has impressed this year, scoring 29 goals and registering six assists from 55 games in all competitions.

Journalist Jorge Nicola has ruled out the possibility of the 23-year-old joining West Ham and his comments are relayed by Bolvaip in Brazil.

He claims to have obtained this information from the frontman’s agent, André Cury, who has denied the Hammers’ interest in his client. According to the representative, he’s been in talks with a club in England and Spain over a potential transfer in January.

“André Cury said he’s negotiating with an English and a Spanish team, but West Ham are not among those interested. Yuri’s great form should confirm his departure at the end of the season,” he said.

It’s worth noting the Brazilian football season ends later this month.

Last Thursday, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Nottingham Forest will make a €23m bid for Alberto in the next window.

A day later, Corinthians president Augusto Melo stated the frontman won’t be allowed to leave in January. Despite this, Nicola claims Alberto’s agent is negotiating with two clubs.
