Arsenal are refusing to loan out Jakub Kiwior in the January transfer window, something which isn’t putting off Napoli from moving for him.
That’s according to Il Mattino, relayed by Calcio Napoli 1926, who say Kiwior is one of three options being assessed by Antonio Conte’s side.
A report yesterday made it clear that Arsenal had no intention of letting Kiwior leave temporarily in the January transfer window, with at least two sources stating that a loan deal had been ruled out.
That explained that while Arsenal would prefer to keep the player, they had set a €20m plus asking price on him for a potential permanent exit.
Il Mattino say the same, stating that Arsenal will ‘only give him up permanently’ if anyone comes forwards.
Napoli are keep as they want a replacement for Juan Jesus, who looks set to leave in the winter window ahead of his contract expiring in the summer.
Director of football Giovanni Manna is working on a list and the Arsenal defender is on it alongside Antonio Silva from Benfica and Jorrel Hato at Ajax. He ‘doesn’t mind’ that they may have to pay a permanent fee for Kiwior.
The stage, then, is set for a bid to be made to test Arsenal’s resolve on the defender, who has found himself out of the picture under Arteta this season.
