On October 11th, we covered claims from Germany that Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea have all sent their scouts to monitor Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.
A fresh report from Bild now covers the growing interest from Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea in the winger.
Gittens has starred for BVB this season, scoring seven goals and registering four assists from 18 matches.
Transfermarkt currently values him at €35m, but the German newspaper suggests the 20-year-old could be Dortmund’s next €100m sale candidate.
When discussing the England U21 international’s interested parties, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea are mentioned. It’s claimed the Premier League trio have been after him for a ‘long time’ and are ‘happy to pay’ for him.
There’s no mention of the fee the three English clubs could pay for Gittens, but they may not be willing to offer €100m for him.
It’s claimed the German club won’t be able to hold on to the young star for long. Gittens, who had spells at Reading, Chelsea and Manchester City’s academies, is ‘more likely’ to return to England soon.
With Tottenham, Liverpool and the Blues all interested, they could be battling it out for his signature.
