Last week, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Nottingham Forest are among the clubs chasing Corinthians’ Yuri Alberto. It was also said he dreams of moving to England and his agent is determined to fulfil that wish in January.
Nottingham Forest are willing to take further steps to sign the striker if Bolavip in Brazil is to be believed.
It’s claimed the 23-year-old will have an offer from an English club, ‘to leave’ Corinthians in the winter market.
Nottingham Forest are the only club mentioned in the report, which states they will propose an initial €23m fee. This would mean the bonuses are excluded from the Reds’ offer.
The report states the Brazilian club would request a fee higher than that, without actually specifying their demand. An offer of €23m is enough for Corinthians to open talks with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side, indicating their willingness to sell the player.
Along with Nottingham Forest, Southampton and West Ham United have shown interest in the frontman. Bolavip make no mention of the Saints and the Hammers, but the duo may also make offers for him.
Alberto managed 27 goals and six assists from 54 games for Corinthians this year.
