There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Aston Villa are still interested in Besiktas forward Semih Kılıçsoy.

The Premier League side failed in their attempt to sign the youngster during the last transfer window but haven’t been deterred in their pursuit of the Besiktas man.

Star today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Kılıçsoy and they say Aston Villa, along with PSG, are looking to sign the 19-year-old during the next window.

According to the Turkish media outlet, Aston Villa plan to sit down at the negotiating table in the new year as they look to get a deal over the line for the attacker. It’s claimed they will improve on their offer of €18m, which is reportedly what the Premier League side bid during the last window.

However, they could face a fight to sign Kılıçsoy following reports PSG are also lining up an offer for the Turkey international. The French club will reportedly bid in the region of €30m for the player and will offer him a four-year deal.

Kılıçsoy is contracted to Besiktas until June 2028.
