Wolverhampton Wanderers’ are following Galatasaray’s Yunus Akgün closely and ‘planning to make an offer’ for the 24-year-old next summer.

That’s according to Takvim, who report that the winger is very much in Wolves eye line after managing six goals and two assists in 17 games in all competitions this season.

He’s become one of the more prominent names for the Turkish side and that’s seen him enter Wolves radar. They are closely following the young star.

The plan is to make an offer to him, or for him, at the end of the season if he continues to perform as he has so far. There’s no mention of an asking price or a figure they’d be willing to pay at this point.

It should be noted, though, Akgün’s current deal with Galatasaray runs until June 2026 so by next summer he’ll be in the final year of his deal.

If he doesn’t sign an extension before then, that could give Wolves their opportunity to potentially get him on the cheap, or at least for a discounted price if Galatasaray are to avoid later losing him on a free.

It’s a situation that will need to be monitored either way, with Wolves certainly doing their own monitoring of Akgün.
