Elia Caprile had a two-year-long stint at Leeds United that didn’t yield a single first-team appearance for the club.

He only played for the Whites’ U21 side, making 19 appearances and making his way to the bench for the first-team during Leeds’ time in the Premier League.

Caprile left the club for Bari in 2022 and now finds himself at Italian giants Napoli.

Calcio E Finanza have looked at the deal which took the goalkeeper from Bari to Napoli in the summer transfer window, stating that the transfer fee was €2.2m.

They also report that 25% of that fee went to Leeds, who ended up earning a little over €500k from the deal due to their sell-on clause.

Caprile has played four times for Napoli in Serie A this season, doing well in the absence of Alex Meret. He has also played once in the Coppa Italia.

Given the goalkeeper wanted to go back to Italy and Leeds United didn’t seem too keen to stand his way, the added money will have been welcomed.
