Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro has refused to close the door on a potential move to Real Madrid, admitting it would be a recognition of good work.
El Desmarque have comments from the full-back today in which he admitted he would always be open to joining the Spanish giants.
Porro has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the last few weeks, with them on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is believed to be the number one choice but alternatives have been lined up too and a recent report indicated that Porro is one of them.
He’s been impressing at Tottenham since arriving in a €40m move from Sporting Club de Portugal in 2023, having initially been on loan at Tottenham since the January transfer window.
That’s apparently put him on Real Madrid’s radar, particularly as they had been watching the full-back while he was at Sporting as well.
It all depends on whether they can get Alexander-Arnold, who is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement from January, but the Tottenham star isn’t closing the door despite seemingly being second choice.
“I am focused on my job. I am 25-years-old, at 26 I don’t know where I can be, football is like that. I am settled in English football, I have a contract until 2028,” he said.
“My name and others are mentioned, but I am focused on my club and now with the national neam. My friends send me the rumours, it is a compliment, but I am focused.
“It is the result of a job well done that one of the best clubs in the world is taking notice of me.”
