Queens Park Rangers are considering the appointment of Gregory Vignal if they decide to sack Marti Cifuentes.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say Vignal is the man being eyed up as Cifuentes’ replacement if QPR decide to change course.
They are currently bottom of the Championship and the pressure has been increasing on Cifuentes as a result, despite the previous good will he had built up.
He’d already been close to a move to England in the summer as part of Régis Le Bris staff at Sunderland but ultimately didn’t make the move with him.
The former Liverpool left back has instead remained out of work, a position he’s been in since ending a 10-game spell in charge of FC Versailles in February of this year.
It all depends on Cifuentes, who has been under pressure thanks to one win in 15 games so far and just 10 points from those. That’s left QPR bottom of the table, five points from safety and seemingly considering a change.
