There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray will target Norwich City attacker Borja Sainz ahead of the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been in impressive form this season for the Caneries, scoring 12 goals in the opening 15 games.

Sabah have reported on Galatasaray’s pursuit of the young winger and they say the Super Lig side’s hierarchy have given the nod to bring in the player.

After selling Kerem Aktürkoğlu to Benfica during the last winnow the Turkish champions are keen to bring in a wide attacker in the new year and it seems Sainz will be the player they will target.

According to the Turkish media outlet it’s hoped Galatasaray’s relationship with Norwich City will help in getting a deal over the line. In the summer Cimbom signed Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara from the Championship side.

There are no reports if Galatasaray will offer Elias Jelert in a possible deal after the Danish defender was recently linked with the English club.

Sainz is contracted to Norwich City until June 2026.
