Marc Guiu arrived at Chelsea from Barcelona before the Blues went on to make other moves in the summer transfer window.

This led to the Spaniard falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, essentially becoming a bit-part player at the club.

As a result, the 18-year-old hasn’t been in Chelsea’s squad for the past five Premier League games. He’s played in the EFL Cup and has made two appearances in the group stages of the Conference League.

Sport, a Catalan newspaper, report this is perhaps not what the youngster signed up for when he joined the Blues.

They describe it as a rather ‘extreme’ situation for Guiu and also doubt whether the decision to join Chelsea was the right one in the first place.

The newspaper believe that the forward has taken a ‘nosedive’ in his career and refuse to rule out a quick exit.

Due to how Chelsea are gaining form, Guiu finds himself hurtling down the pecking order further and that could force a move for the La Masia graduate.

There’s obviously a hint of we told you so from the Catalan newspaper.
