Kevin Mbabu spent two years at Fulham and left them for FC Midtjylland on deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Last month, the defender revealed he had interest from clubs in Spain, Germany, Holland and elsewhere. He also stated Midtjylland technical director Kristian Kjær was key in his decision to join the Danish club.
The 29-year-old made seven appearances for Fulham. They sent him out on loan to Swiss side Servette FC and FC Augsburg, before he left the London club permanently in the last window.
Mbabu has been featuring regularly for Midtjylland. He’s made seven appearances, of which three are in the Europa League. At the weekend, the right-back scored his first goal in their 2-0 win over AGF.
AGF wing-back Gift Links, who is generally a nuisance for the opposition, struggled when he came up against the Switzerland international.
Tipsbladet explain Midtjylland signed Mbabu on a free transfer and offered him a ‘heavy salary’. This has clearly paid off, so much so that he’s in contention for the league’s best signing of this season.
