West Ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug is not planning to leave in the January transfer window and is instead focused on beating a persistent Achilles tendon injury.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the striker is continuing his work behind the scenes to get back from injury.
Füllkrug joined West Ham in a €27m deal in the summer but has barely featured since as injury problems have limited his time on the pitch.
That, they claimed, could see Füllkrug bring a quick end to his time in England and potentially move on elsewhere.
Plettenberg insists that is not the case for the 31-year-old, though, as neither he nor West Ham are considering a departure in January. In fact, the Hammers believe in the German striker and a sale is not currently on the table.
Füllkrug is instead continuing to work hard on his comeback from a persistent Achilles tendon injury. He is expected to return to the pitch in the coming days and then return to the squad after the international break.
