Leicester City were one of the clubs who looked at FC Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed in the last window.
That’s at least what Sportune are reporting, and they state the 26-year-old was ‘courted’ by Leicester in the summer. As well as the Foxes, CD Leganés had him on their agenda.
Leicester and the Spanish club weren’t able to get a deal over the line and the striker is still at the Ligue 1 side.
Nantes, as per the report, are struggling financially and could be forced to offload some of their players in the coming windows.
It’s claimed the frontman has changed agents and is now represented by UK agency, CAA Base. This may suggest he could consider changing clubs next year.
Their client list includes Leicester’s Caleb Okoli, and James Maddison, who left the Foxes for Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
This connection, coupled with Nantes’ economic conditions could present Leicester a new opportunity to sign Mohamed in 2025. His contract lasts until 2027 and he’s currently valued at €7m by Transfermarkt.
