Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels is going to ‘make life difficult’ for Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco if he continues to shine for the Premier League side.

That’s according to Voetbalkrant, who say the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper is pushing for a starting place for The Red Devils.

They state that Sels ‘will make things difficult’ for Tedesco is he continues to impress for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

The Belgian boss has a clear ranking at this moment in time, with Koen Casteels the number one after Thibaut Courtois ruled himself out for his country while Tedesco is in charge.

However, Sels has continued to impress at Nottingham Forest this season and ‘performs every week in England’ and was again the star of the show in Monday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

He pulled off seven games in that victory and was crucial to the win, with one remarkable save to deny Eberechi Eze earning particular praise. The fact Chris Wood scored the winner moments afterwards certainly helped.

Sels kept his third clean sheet for Nottingham Forest this season in the game, with all three coming in 1-0 wins.

Voetbalkrant argue that is Sels continues to impress, Tedesco could ‘spring a surprise’ and bring him into the first team, perhaps in the next international break.
