Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde has been ruled until next year ahead of his side’s Europa League clash with Manchester United this week.
The Dutchman picked up a serious knee injury during the 2-2 draw with Samsunspor at the weekend and has added to Fenerbahce’s woes at left back.
Sabah have reported on Oosterwolde’s situation and they say the 23-year-old has been ruled out for up to five months with a cruciate ligament injury.
Fenerbahce have already been struggling on the left side after Ferdi Kadıoğlu signed for Brighton & Hove Albion during the last transfer window.
Kadıoğlu’s link up play with Dustan Tadic brought Fenerbahce success last season, narrowly missing out on the Super Lig title by one point. There is concern now who will fill in for Oosterwolde when they take on the Red Devils.
Manchester United will be looking for their first win in the Europa League this season when they travel to Istanbul to meet former boss Mourinho. Fener will also be looking to get back to winning ways in the competition after drawing with Dutch side Enschede during the last game.
