Alfie Devine has made two appearances for Tottenham Hotspur’s senior team, and both were in the FA Cup.
Tottenham have sent the 20-year-old out on loan ever since Ange Postecoglou arrived at the club in the summer of 2023. After temporary spells at Port Vale and Plymouth Argyle last season, Spurs let him join KVC Westerlo last month.
The England U20 international has made four appearances for the Jupiler Pro League side so far.
Het Nieuwsblad had a chat with the Tottenham owned player, where he discussed several topics, including his time at Liverpool and Wigan Athletic. The north London club signed him for their academy in 2021.
Devine’s contract at the Premier League side lasts until 2027, and they are monitoring his performances for the Belgian club.
“Scoulding is a professional, he has already worked at Rangers, Valencia, Olympiacos and Liverpool, so he knows what he is talking about. If I need something, they are always there.”
The Englishman, who was part of Postecoglou’s squad during the pre-season tour, and still feels part of the Tottenham group. He talked about deciding to leave in the summer and the process since then.
“At Spurs I had good conversations with coach Ange Postecoglou,” Devine explained.
“I went on an internship with the first team, and I still feel involved in the group. You never know what the future will bring, but you are so happy to be in the picture.”
Devine’s immediate focus should be featuring regularly for Westerlo and further improve his game this season.
