AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar has ended up on the radars of Liverpool and Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old has kept three clean sheets and conceded seven goals from nine games this season.
According to ASRomaLive.it, scouts from European clubs have been keeping close tabs on him. Manchester City had the stopper on their agenda in the past.
Liverpool and Newcastle are the two latest English clubs to join the battle for Svilar. The report says the Reds and Eddie Howe’s side could say goodbye to Alisson Becker and Nick Pope respectively at the end of this season.
It’s claimed they have approached the Serie A side to find out their demand and also the Serbia international to know about his future plan.
The outlet claims Roma want at least €35-40m to part ways with their player. He joined Roma on a free transfer in 2022 and his sale will see the Italian club make a huge profit.
Liverpool have signed Giorgi Mamardashvili and sent him back on loan to Valencia in the summer. This deal has seen Caoimhín Kelleher consider his future at the Merseyside club. Svilar could therefore be the second-choice goalkeeper, if he arrives at Anfield.
