Since joining Leeds United from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022, Rasmus Kristensen has spent more time elsewhere than he has with the Whites.
Leeds allowed him to spend last season on loan at AS Roma and sanctioned another loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer window. The German club have an option to make his stay permanent.
The right-back, who has played nine games in all competitions, has impressed for the Bundesliga side this season.
On Tuesday, Sky Deutschland stated the 27-year-old’s loan signing has been a complete success for Eintracht Frankfurt. Therefore, they have decided to exercise the purchase option of €10-12m.
Fussball News got in touch with Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung for an update. The official has denied Sky Deutschland’s claim but talked about the option of retaining the Whites man.
“Of course, we are considering what role he could play at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future and whether he can become part of the team. But we haven’t decided anything yet.”
According to Fussball News, the Denmark international being vocal on the pitch has been one of his impressive factors. He motivates and regularly pushes his teammates. They say he’s a ‘complete package’, which the club was missing since losing Makoto Hasebe and Sebastian Rode at the end of last season.
The director is pleased with Kristensen’s overall influence since his summer arrival.
“That’s a good thing. I like that about him,” Hardung explained.
Whether Eintracht Frankfurt will look for a discount or not remains to be seen, but given his impact already that would be on the cheeky side.
