Donny van de Beek has insisted he has nothing negative to say about Manchester United, despite his miserable spell at the club.

The Dutchman joined the Spanish side in a €500,000 deal this summer, bringing an end to an utterly miserable four-year stay at Manchester United.
He joined them in a €39m deal from Ajax in 2020 after rising through the ranks at the Dutch club and becoming part of the exciting team that included the likes of Mathijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong.
Loan spells away from Old Trafford with Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt failed to revive his chances either, with both sides electing to cut their losses this summer and secure a permanent departure.
Given how badly things went, most would assume the 27-year-old has plenty to say about Manchester United and not all of it positive, but he’s taking the opposite approach.
“I try to enjoy myself again and I do that,” he said.
“It (Girona) is a beautiful club with good football, and I think I can help with that and I am working hard on that.
“It is clear that nothing has come of it for either party (Manchester United). That is in the past, but not a single bad word about that club.
“Of course I didn’t play a lot, but I did learn a lot. With good players around me and good people within the club. I will take those things with me into the future.”
