The transfer window may have slammed shut just a week ago but all that means is clubs start planning for the next one.
Nottingham Forest aren’t having a rest period before doing so and one name which appears to be quite near the top of their list is Adrián Liso.
Monday’s edition of El Periódico Aragón reports the Premier League club have now watched Real Zaragoza’s Liso twice this season. They had officials at the opening 4-0 victory against Cádiz, a match in which the newspaper says the youngster was ‘outstanding’, and returned to Spain to watch yesterday’s 3-0 win over Elche.
The left winger played the full 90 minutes in both games, getting an assist against Elche. He broke through at the LaLiga2 club in March and has been gaining prominence since.
El Periódico Aragón report Nottingham Forest are seriously considering Liso ahead of January, although it may be better to wait until next summer unless they have to rush to beat competition.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are analysing the player’s progress and it’s stated that if they do move they’d have no problem matching his €15m clause.
Real Madrid and Barcelona were credited with interest earlier this year, and at the time Liso insisted he’s happy where he is. Things obviously change and the lure of the Premier League would be a temptation.
On the other hand, Real Zaragoza are top of LaLiga2 and the local boy may be aiming for a season in top flight with his beloved Los Maños.
