Everton look to be on the verge of a big deadline day signing and it could be be aided by John Textor.
The Lyon and Botafogo owner, and Crystal Palace shareholder, is keen to take over at Goodison Park and there certainly seems to have been a Textor touch in Everton’s business over the past week.
Orel Mangala has arrived from Lyon to spend the rest of the season with the Toffees and he could soon be joined by a friendly face from the French club.
FootMercato report Ernest Nuamah has ‘accepted an offer’ to join Everton, after Nottingham Forest also showed an interest in taking the winger’s services this week. Fulham have also been linked.
UPDATE: Santi Aouna, who wrote the article for FootMercato, is now saying the player prefers Fulham.
