Manchester United’s Scott McTominay has undergone his medical with Napoli and an announcement is now on the way.
That’s according to Calcio Napoli 24, who report that McTominay underwent a medical this morning at the Pineta Grande clinic in Castel Volturno.
That’s the latest step in his move from Manchester United to Napoli, and an official announcement is now expected in the next few hours.
It’s been rapid progress since then, with McTominay welcomed by crowds of fans at Napoli airport yesterday chanting his name and showing their excitement.
The deal now appears to be in the final stages, with McTominay undergoing a medical today and an announcement expected before tonight’s deadline.
That will potentially have the knock-on effect of giving Manchester United the funds and space in their squad to finally complete the deal for Paris Saint Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
A deal for him has been agreed for the best part of a week but is yet to be completed, despite the dwindling hours remaining in the transfer window.
