On Wednesday, we explained that after Edoardo Bove was told he has no future at AS Roma, isn’t in Daniele De Rossi’s plans, and needs to find a new club, that the situation must be hard for the footballer.

The 22-year-old was born in Rome and has lived all his life in the Italian city. He’s come through the ranks at Roma and going on to have a career with them will have been the only plan in his mind for years.

Nevertheless, Bove was told to find a new home and Nottingham Forest showed up, willing to pay a bit over €10m for the midfielder. That was in the region of what Roma wanted, and the player, albeit sad his AS Roma dream was dying, reportedly agreed to the deal.

Then Eintracht Frankfurt turned up, but they are only offering a loan. Despite that, Gianluca Di Marzio reports it’s the option Bove prefers.

That’s because it gives him the chance to develop further for a season, hopefully impress De Rossi and find a way to save his AS Roma career.

Di Marzio says Bove has emptied his locker and it’s now just a case of seeing where he turns up.
