Luton Town’s Teden Mengi was a consistent presence at the back for the club in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
He has also played in all of the club’s three Championship games so far in the campaign, but the defender’s exit from Luton is a concrete possibility at the end of the transfer window.
La Stampa have reported on Torino’s interest in signing Mengi, with Il Toro looking to strengthen a backline that has lost multiple key players this summer.
The Luton defender is a ‘priority’ for the Italian side now and their sporting director Davide Vagnati has reached an agreement with the 22-year-old already.
They also seem pretty hyped about the move, bringing in the player’s Manchester United past and praising his maturity and leadership qualities.
FootMercato previously mentioned that talks between Luton and Torino were going to take place, but La Stampa’s information is definitely an update.
There was interest in Mengi from France in the past but Torino looks a likelier option right now.
