Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer is ‘on his way’ to Leeds United late in this window.
That’s according to TransferWatch.nl, who state the midfielder has reached an agreement with Leeds for personal terms.
It’s further claimed Leeds are now negotiating a deal with Sheffield United to get this transfer over the line.
The Blades invested over €17m to buy the 27-year-old from Coventry City in August 2023. He impressed in his debut campaign for Sheffield United, who were in the Premier League last season.
Hamer managed five goals and eight assists from 40 games in all competitions. His fine displays seem to have convinced Daniel Farke’s side to bet on him.
The Brazilian has a contract lasting until 2027 and Sheffield United are willing to sanction a move, as long as Leeds put a ‘large sum’ on the table. The report makes no mention of the price requested by Chris Wilder’s side or the fee the Whites could offer.
The parties involved in the deal are hopeful and the transfer is ‘expected to be completed’ before the window closes on Friday.
