Roma youngster Kevin Zefi is currently training with Southampton ahead of a potential move to the South Coast.
That’s according to Gazzetta Regionale, relayed by FC Inter News, who cover the 19-year-old today.
They report that there is currently ‘little space’ for Zefi at Roma, where he has struggled to carve out a space for himself in Roma’s Primavera side.
He’s not a part of the current team led by Gianluca Falsini and so a transfer away would make sense for both parties.
Thus, Zefi has been allowed to train with Southampton ahead of a possible move to the Premier League side. There’s no mention of the nature of a potential transfer, just that Southampton could sign him in some capacity.
It depends on whether the youngster can impress the Saints in training. If not, he would head back to Roma and be reinstated into the Giallorossi’s group.
He still has a two-year deal with the Italian side, and it seems they have no desire to just bin him off. They have, though, given him the chance to impress Southampton and seemingly won’t block a move to the Saints if he manages to do so.
