On Friday, TNT Sports reported Manchester United have held talks with Fluminense star André Trindade’s agent.
Later that day, we covered claims from France that there’s no doubt Manuel Ugarte will end up at Old Trafford this summer.
Trivela provide the latest on the possibility of André or the Paris Saint-Germain player joining Manchester United. The Red Devils have identified the 23-year-old Brazilian as a cheaper alternative to Ugarte.
Erik ten Hag’s side want to pay €60m at the end of his loan spell. PSG, on the other hand, want a large part of the fee up front, and this would only be possible through a sale.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are said to have identified André as ‘plan B’. The report says he’ll cost a third of what they plan to pay for Ugarte.
The Brazilian club have already rejected a €25m bid from Fulham earlier in the window. The report suggests they could be forced to accept a lower price as we get closer to deadline day.
Ugarte and André are represented by Jorge Mendes and Carlos Leite respectively. Trivela say Leite has already contacted the super-agent to help get his client to Europe.
It’s possible that Leite would have leaked information about Mendes’ involvement with the two players to Trivela. Mendes could use André to put pressure on PSG, to agree a deal with Manchester United for Ugarte.
