Brighton target included in training despite transfer wish – Not involved ‘wholeheartedly’

PSV Eindhoven defender Oscar Boscagli has been training with the Dutch club today; despite making it clear he wants to join Brighton and Hove Albion.

That’s according to journalist Rik Elfrink, who reports the defender is not entirely taking part ‘wholeheartedly’ after establishing he wants to leave.

Boscagli has been linked with a move to Brighton for the best part of two weeks, with them continuing to spend money to strengthen Fabian Hürzeler’s squad.

The defender quickly made it clear that he wanted to make the move to the Premier League, but a deal has yet to be struck between the two sides.

PSV are holding out for the best price possible for their defender, with his exit likely to be a major blow after they already sold Jordan Teze to Monaco.

They’re not particularly keen on selling Boscagli too but will do so for the right price. Brighton are yet to offer it to them, though.

That means negotiations continue to rumble on, forcing Boscagli to return to training with PSV today, something it seems he isn’t particularly interested in doing.

“The PSV selection had a day off yesterday and started training again today,” Elfrink reports.

“Boscagli too, but it’s still not going completely wholeheartedly. Teze ‘got’ his transfer to Monaco and Boscagli also wants a transfer, as is known, to Brighton.”
