Brighton and Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has been left impressed by fringe player Yasin Ayari this summer and could block a loan move for him as a result.

That’s according to Fotboll Direkt, who cover the youngster today and how things could be about to turn positively for him.

They explain that Ayari has had something of a ‘turbulent time’ at Brighton so far since moving from AIK in January last year.

He’s had loan spells at Coventry and Blackburn in that time but not enjoyed success at either, returning to Brighton this summer.

His ‘big chance’ could now be about to come, though, as he is believed to have made a ‘strong impression on new manager Hürzeler.

The growing belief is that he may get his chance to compete for a starting spot this season under the German. That’s a big boost as he’s not been given a chance for the Seagulls since his arrival.

He’s taken advantage of opportunities in pre-season to make an impression o Hürzeler, and, according to FD’s sources, there’s now a belief he could remain with Brighton this season rather than being sent out on loan once again.

There is interest in the midfielder, albeit nothing concrete to date, but Hürzeler could block any exit after being left impressed by Ayari’s performances.
