Player’s agents tell club he wants PL move – Brighton furthest along, waiting for medical approval

Ferdi Kadıoğlu has made it clear to Fenerbahce that he wants to play in the Premier League, after accepting Brighton and Hove Albion’s proposal.

That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that Kadıoğlu’s agents have made their stance clear to the Turkish side.

Manchester United have also been credited with interest in recent days, with it claimed they’ve also made an offer, but Brighton appear to be further along at this stage.

Sabuncuoğlu reported earlier this month that Brighton had made the first move for Kadıoğlu, offering €35m plus bonuses for the full-back.

He then followed that up earlier today by reporting that Kadıoğlu had accepted Brighton’s offer and was now waiting for Fenerbahce to strike a deal with the Seagulls.

According to his information, the Turkish side had requested an increase in the price offered by Brighton, looking for more money to be paid upfront before bonuses were added on top.

The player was therefore waiting for the clubs to agree on that before then heading to England for a medical, but Sabuncuoğlu has now updated the situation again and seems to be suggesting that Kadıoğlu is pushing for the move.

He states that Kadıoğlu wants to continue his career in the Premier League and the player’s representatives have made this clear to Fenerbahce.

That, therefore, should be a potential boost to Brighton, who we’ll assume will be using that to their advantage in the ongoing negotiations.
