Wolves put forward offer and appear to be serious – Not much more could do the trick

There continues to be claims in Italy that Wolves are keen on signing a new goalkeeper this summer.

Jose Sa is their major option between the sticks and while reports in England have linked the club with the likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Sam Johnstone, there is another name that the Italian media continue to push towards Wolves’ shortlist.

Il Messaggero today state that the club have put forward an offer for Lazio’s Christos Mandas.

Wolves’ bid, it is reported, stands at €20m and the suggestion is that Gary O’Neil’s side are ‘serious’ for the Greek goalkeeper, who broke into the Lazio first-team last season.

The report mentions that Mandas’ sale would make sure that much need money arrives at Lazio, but for now, Wolves have had their offer rejected by the Biancocelesti.

Lazio are attracted by the potential chance to sign Michael Folorunsho, and to move for the Italy international they would need funds.

The likelihood is that they need a sale and Mandas could be the man to go, that gives Wolves and others a nudge and it could be that not too much over that €20m would do the trick.
